Innovation at the heart of water purification: Discover LaVie®'s UV-A technology

Destruction of chlorine by UV-A

The challenge of providing drinking water of quality has always been significant. With over 13 billion bottles of water sold each year in France, the ecological and economic impact is colossal.

This is where LaVie® comes in, a French innovation that not only purifies water but also contributes to a more sustainable world.

Purifying tap water

Tap water often contains chlorine and various contaminants that we would prefer to avoid. LaVie® offers a solution to this problem with its revolutionary UV-A technology.

No more changing filters and constant maintenance. Here’s why our UV-A technology is the next big step in water purification.

What is UV-A technology?

The UV-A light is a form of ultraviolet that has the ability to decompose chlorine present in tap water. Thus, when water is exposed to UV-A light, the chlorine is rapidly destroyed. This releases powerful free radicals that work to purify the water of its other contaminants.

Indeed, these powerful free radicals released in turn will eliminate the other contaminants present in the water. This chain reaction provides you with purified water, free from pesticides and traces of pharmaceutical products in just 15 minutes. All of this without the need for filters or consumables!

Moreover, the process preserves the trace elements and the pH of the water, thus contributing to your well-being.

Ease of use

The LaVie® system is extremely simple to set up. It consists of a borosilicate glass bottle, resistant to thermal and mechanical shocks, and an aluminum tube housing UV-A LEDs.

Simply fill the bottle with tap water and place it in the tube. The purification process starts and stops automatically after 15 minutes.

The multiple benefits

In addition to the reduction of chlorine that will give your water a pleasant taste and smell, here is a summary of the benefits of treating your water with UV-A radiation:

Bacterial reduction: Bacterial cells are completely destroyed, ensuring healthier water.

Pesticide reduction: Dangerous molecules are degraded, making the water safer to consume.

Pharmaceutical product reduction: Residues of medications are also eliminated, providing purer water.

Economic and ecological advantages

Our purifiers consume little electricity: only 6 Wh to purify 1,000 liters of water, which represents a cost of approximately €1.5. And there are no filters to change or maintenance to perform!

Moreover, the aluminum tube manufacturing allows for the neutralization of the carbon footprint in just a few days, compared to the consumption of water in plastic bottles.

Consuming purified tap water from LaVie® will cost you approximately €1 for 500 liters of purified water. Compared to the cost of bottled water (on average €0.14 per liter, or €70 for 500 liters), the savings are considerable.

No handling

No more carrying packs of water from the supermarket to your home, especially if you live on an upper floor without an elevator. LaVie® offers you the freedom to drink quality water directly at home.

The LaVie® UV-A water purifier represents a major innovation in the field of water purification. With its patented chlorine photolysis technology using UV-A radiation, it provides an economic and ecological solution for accessing better quality water.

So, say goodbye to plastic bottles and hello to healthier water thanks to LaVie®!
