OPROPRE is the pre-filter designed to address a major public health challenge: PFAS, also known as “forever chemicals”.

These chemical compounds, extremely persistent, resist conventional treatment methods.

Its technology combines coconut shell activated carbon with a unique specialized resin, capable of effectively trapping PFAS before they reach the UV-A purifier.

It also acts on other emerging contaminants: heavy metals, micro and nanoplastics, pesticides, and volatile organic compounds.

Thus, tap water is prepared for complete and natural purification, for enhanced protection against chemical and physical threats.

Your most common questions

Can I use the OPropre Prefilter if I already have a LaVie purifier?

OPropre and purifiers are two complementary treatments.

The resin and coconut activated carbon present in Opropre allow for the reduction of PFAS, microplastics, and heavy metals while leaving 40% of the chlorine in the water. The treatment with the LaVie purifier in addition will allow to:

– remove chlorine and chemical pollutants at the molecular level
– remove any bacteria that could “live” in the activated carbon cartridge

Do I need a lot of space for the installation?

The Opropre Prefilter is installed under your sink. The filter holder dimension is 33.5 cm high and an additional 4 cm should be planned to open and replace the cartridge: therefore, a height space of 40 cm is required for installation (horizontally or vertically).

The widest diameter (top of the prefilter) is 7.4 cm, so approximately 17/18 cm in diameter should be considered with the installed hoses.

What is the lifespan of the Opropre Prefilter?

We recommend changing the Prefilter every 6 months.

This is the safety period considered by all filter manufacturers.

That said, if you consistently pass the water through the purifier LaVie for example, which eliminates 100% of bacteria, it is not “serious” to exceed the deadline.

What is the micron filtration degree of the Opropre Prefilter?

There is no sieve filtration in our device, so it is impossible to provide a size.

The principle of “filtration” is adsorption for activated carbon and ion exchange for PFas resin, which is much more precise and effective than simple meshes.

Can pre-filtered water from the Opropre Prefilter be used for preparing infant formula?

Yes.

Our entire range is designed to retain the trace elements present in water.
You just need to avoid “over-mineralized” waters, which have a dry residue greater than 1.2G (1200mg)/l, but especially waters rich in nitrates (up to 50 mg/l, but above that, tap water is declared non-potable).

So, in principle, if these two criteria are met in your tap water, you can absolutely use tap water for infants, and we also recommend using the LaVie purifier for the same reasons as previously mentioned.

Can we drink water directly filtered by Opropre?

Yes, absolutely.

Is the Opropre Prefilter effective for "hard" pesticides?

The OPropre Prefilter is effective against most “hard” and “eternal” pesticides, such as Pfas, Chlorothalonil, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), metolachlor ESA and OXA, endocrine disruptors (EDs), chlordane, etc.

Can I install Opropre by myself?

Absolutely.

Just disconnect the cold water supply from the faucet, screw it onto the filter inlet, and then connect the filter outlet to the cold water inlet of your faucet.
