How to start the water purifier?
Place the purifier on a stable surface near an outlet, plug the adapter into the purifier and then into the outlet. The base blinks three times to confirm compatibility with the DC adapter. Your purifier is ready for use.
How long can I store treated water?
The WHO recommends drinking bottled water within 48 hours of opening, even after transferring. Indeed, purification occurs in a sealed environment: once opened, the water can be recolonized by bacteria.
Like mineral water, our unopened bottles can be stored indefinitely if kept cool or at room temperature.
What is the difference between the Pure and Premium models?
The LAVIE Pure and Premium models are equipped with the same technology and purification capacity. The difference between the two versions is therefore purely aesthetic.
Whichever version you choose, you benefit from the same water treatment performance and the same UVA photolysis technology. It is this efficiency and respect for the natural quality of water that allow this technology to position itself as the best water purifier for those who wish for healthier water on a daily basis.
How do I fill the bottle?
From the tap.
Do not fill your LAVIE bottle completely: leave 1 to 2 cm of air.
During treatment, the water heats slightly (1 to 2 °C) and, without this space, the pressure may cause the bottle to break.
What maintenance is required for my LAVIE purifier?
No maintenance is required.
The treatment automatically cleans the bottle. Simply clean the exterior from time to time (about once a month or if marks appear) with a little white vinegar or baking soda and warm water.
The bottle is also dishwasher safe, except for the bamboo cap.
How do I set the duration of the purification treatment?
By default, the purifier is in standard mode (15 min).
To change the duration, turn it over and press with a small point on the button under the base.
Blue: intermediate mode (22 min)
Red: intense mode (30 min)
Green: return to standard mode (15 min)
What is the lifespan of a LAVIE purifier?
It is difficult to estimate the lifespan of the purifier, but the UVA LEDs are designed for about 50,000 hours, or 200,000 cycles of 15 min — equivalent to 54 years at 4 uses per day.
Their average lifespan as stated by the manufacturer is approximately 10 years.
Does the purifier affect the formation of limescale?
The tap water contains calcium, not limestone. It is an essential trace element for health.
The LAVIE treatment preserves this liquid calcium while eliminating the bad taste, unless the water is very hard.
It also reduces the formation of limestone in your appliances by about 50 %.
From an economic standpoint, is the purifier really worthwhile?
Thanks to its low consumption, the LaVie purifier allows for the treatment of 1,000 L of water for approximately €1.50 in electricity.

Can I use the Opropre filter if I already have a LAVIE purifier?
Opropre and purifiers are two complementary treatments.
The resin and coconut activated carbon present in Opropre allow for the removal of PFAS, microplastics, and heavy metals while leaving 40% of the chlorine in the water. The treatment with the LAVIE purifier as a complement will allow for:
– removing chlorine and chemical pollutants at the molecular level
– removing any bacteria that could “live” in the activated carbon cartridge
Do I need a lot of space for the installation?
The Opropre Filter is installed under your sink. The height of the filter holder is 36 cm, and an additional 4 cm should be allowed to open and replace the cartridge: therefore, a space of 40 cm in height is required for installation (horizontally or vertically).
The widest diameter (top of the pre-filter) is 13 cm, so approximately 17/18 cm in diameter should be considered with the installed hoses.
What is the lifespan of the Opropre cartridge?
We recommend changing the cartridge every 6 months.
This is the health safety period considered by all filter manufacturers.
That said, if you consistently pass the water through the LAVIE purifier afterwards, which eliminates 100% of bacteria, it is not “serious” to exceed the deadline.
How can I dispose of my used cartridge?

What is the micron filtration level of the Opropre filter?
There is no sieve filtration in our device, thus it is impossible to provide a size.
The principle of “filtration” is adsorption for activated carbon and ion exchange for PFas resin, which is much more precise and effective than simple meshes.
Can pre-filtered water from the Opropre filter be used for preparing infant formula?
Yes.
Our entire range is designed to preserve the trace elements present in water.
You just need to avoid “over-mineralized” waters, which have a dry residue greater than 1.2G (1200mg)/l, but especially waters rich in nitrates (up to 50 mg/l, but above that, tap water is declared non-potable).
Therefore, in principle, if these two criteria are met in your tap water, you can absolutely use tap water for infants, and we also recommend using the LAVIE purifier for the same reasons as previously mentioned.

Can we drink the water pre-filtered by Opropre directly?
Yes, absolutely.
Is the Opropre filter effective for "hard" pesticides?
The Opropre filter is effective against most “hard” and “eternal” pesticides, such as Pfas, Chlorothalonil, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), metolachlor ESA and OXA, endocrine disruptors (EDs), chlordane, etc.
Can I install Opropre by myself?
Absolutely.
Just disconnect the cold water supply from the faucet, screw it onto the filter inlet, and then connect the filter outlet to the cold water inlet of your faucet.
