Ionization
ODOUCE is a next-generation water softener designed by LAVIE. Unlike traditional salt-based softeners, it operates without salt, without electricity, without chemicals, and without maintenance.
Its patented technology is based on turbulent ionization, which acts directly on the structure of limestone. When water flows, zinc electrodes trigger an ionization reaction: calcium carbonate, responsible for scale, is transformed into aragonite, a non-scaling powdery form.
Limestone no longer adheres to pipes or heating elements but is naturally expelled, while also helping to clean existing deposits. Tests have shown that ODOUCE reduces scale formation by up to 76%.

How to install Odouce?
The installation does not require extensive qualifications; it is accessible to a beginner handyman or a plumber.
Is my water very hard, can I use Odouce?
It is recommended for hard water of about 30°f.
Can I use Odouce for infants?
The Odouce softener is salt-free and preserves the trace elements present in tap water.
It is indeed advisable to avoid “over-mineralized” waters, which have a dry residue greater than 1.2G (1200mg)/l, but especially waters rich in nitrates (up to 50 mg/l, but above that, tap water is declared non-potable).
Therefore, if these two criteria are met in your tap water, you can certainly use tap water for infants. We even recommend the use of the LAVIE purifier as a complement, which will help eliminate chlorine, bacteria, traces of pesticides, and medications.

Should I replace the cartridge with Odouce?
There are no consumables, so no cartridges to change; however, we recommend using a sediment filter to extend the lifespan, which is stated to be 10 years.
Can I use Odouce with a LAVIE purifier or an Opropre pre-filter?

Will my water flow decrease with Odouce?
There is no visible reduction in flow, let’s say less than a 10% difference.
Can Odouce be installed outdoors?
Odouce can be installed outdoors, there are no contraindications.
My water is cloudy after installation, is this normal?
This may occur with the first liters.
Under the effect of pressure and while passing through a porous activated carbon and the chemical interactions that take place, there may be a slight addition of gas to the tap water.
As soon as the pressure drops, this gas escapes from the water, returning to equilibrium with atmospheric pressure, which may result in microbubbles or an opaque color during the first uses.
This phenomenon should disappear quickly.
