The essentials on the Opropre under-sink filter

Many under-sink filters are too bulky, produce unpleasant odors, or use low-quality fossil-derived activated carbon. The result: ineffective, even risky filtration, with even more toxic substances released into the water (tars, ashes). Not to mention the disposable cartridges, which concentrate pollutants before ending up in the trash. A false good idea for your health as well as for the planet.

With Opropre, you choose a discreet, durable, and efficient system. Tests conducted by independent laboratories demonstrate its effectiveness:

  • The filter retains up to 1.2 mg of chlorothalonil (pesticide) and up to 0.8 mg of lead per gram of carbon,
  • Thanks to its specialized resin, it directly filters PFAS, these so-called “eternal” pollutants, known for their harmful effects on health. It can retain up to 27.4 mg of PFOA (used in some non-stick coatings) and 23.8 mg of PFBA (derived from the manufacture of household products) per gram of resin.

We recommend replacing the cartridge of your OPROPRE purifier every 6 months. This is the safety period considered by all filter manufacturers. That said, if you consistently pass water through the LAVIE purifier that eliminates 100% of bacteria, it is not “serious” to exceed the deadline.

To avoid plastic waste, OPROPRE cartridges are deposited, collected, and then refilled. The used carbon is fully recycled and replaced with new carbon. A new anti-PFAS resin is also added to ensure optimal filtration of so-called “eternal” pollutants. And all of this is sent back directly to your home.

Thanks to the OPROPRE under-sink filter, you eliminate a multitude of invisible contaminants often present in the drinking water of your home: PFAS, heavy metals such as lead, microplastics, nanoplastics, endocrine disruptors, and pesticides like chlorothalonil. Even in low doses, these substances can harm the proper functioning of your body in the long term.

Therefore, by filtering them directly at the source, you significantly reduce the risks of exposure to these harmful compounds, while improving the taste, smell, and quality of your water.

Provided that your tap water is not over-mineralized or rich in nitrates, you can even use your tap water for babies.

OPROPRE is installed under your sink.

The filter holder measures 36 cm in height, and an additional 4 cm should be allowed for opening and replacing the cartridge: thus, you need to have a space of 40 cm for installation (horizontally or vertically).

The widest diameter (top of the pre-filter) is 13 cm. Therefore, you should plan for approximately 17 to 18 cm in diameter with the installed hoses.

Absolutely, just disconnect the cold water supply from the faucet, screw it onto the filter inlet, and then connect the filter outlet to the cold water inlet of your faucet.
