We've designed it to work in perfect synergy with our range of LaVie purifiers. Using both products, pre-filtration + LaVie purifier, gives total peace of mind, in terms of water quality, taste and safety.

The product comes in the form of a stainless steel filter holder for installation under your kitchen sink. This filter holder comes with a refillable and returnable filter cartridge, designed to be changed every six months. Thanks to this system, Onyx offers an ecological and economical solution for improving water quality in the home.

The activated carbon is certified by our partner Jacobi Carbons in Vierzon, where each production batch is analysed by their in-house laboratory.
In fact, activated carbon of mediocre quality, particularly that of fossil origin, or simply that does not follow a very precise manufacturing process, can release compounds that are much more dangerous than the pollutants it is supposed to "adsorb", such as tar, ash, etc.

The quantity of carbon stored in the cartridge is around 15 times greater than that of a carafe filter, so this is a very serious product, capable of blocking high levels of pollutants for many months.
The cartridge is returnable to enable us to recycle the activated carbon efficiently and will be refilled with new carbon without creating any waste. Our industrial partner specialises in the second life of activated carbon and has the knowledge and equipment to purify pollutants by heating without oxygen. The activated carbon recycled in this way will be used in industrial processes.
Onyx is effective against most "hard" pesticides, such as Chlorothalonil, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), metolachlores ESA and OXA, endocrine disruptors (EDs), chlordecone, etc.
The "unfolded" surface area of the adsorption cells represents more than 1,000 m2 per gram of activated carbon, equivalent to the surface area of 100 football pitches in a single filter!
