LAVIE launches a new range: say goodbye to PFAS and heavy metals

LAVIE is expanding its product range to meet the varied water filtration needs of its users. In addition to the UV-A water purifiers that have made LAVIE's reputation, we now offer three pre-filtration solutions: Opropre Onyx, Opropre Turquoise and Opropre ruby. Together, these technologies offer a complete solution for eliminating a wide range of contaminants and obtaining perfectly pure water.
Why these new filters?
At LAVIE, our mission is to offer water purification solutions that meet the varied and evolving needs of our customers. Although our purifiers UV-A water provide complete microbiological disinfection and help to improve the taste of water in reducing chlorine and its derivatives to over 90%we wanted to take things a step further by launching the Opropre Onyx, Opropre Turquoise and Opropre Ruby.
These new pre-filtration filters are designed to treat certain chemical and physical contaminants present in tap water, such as heavy metalsthe microplastics / nanoplasticspesticides PFAS (eternal pollutants), which cannot (or cannot sufficiently) be destroyed by electro-chemical processes, and nitrates.
At the time we developed our UV-A purification technology, the PFASMicroplastics and nano-plastics were not yet common measurement topics in the field of drinking water. However, at LAVIE, we are committed to anticipating and responding to users' growing concerns about water quality. That's why we developed the Opropre Onyx and Turquoise filters, which use coconut activated carbon and a specialised resin for the Turquoise model to capture these particles before they pass through the UV-A purifier.

With the launch of Opropre filters, LAVIE is maintaining and strengthening its commitment to the environment. Opropre filter cartridges are Returnable and reusableThis minimises waste and environmental impact. After use, each cartridge is returned to be refilled with new activated carbon, while the used carbon is treated and recycled in industrial processes. The models Opropre Turquoise and Opropre Ruby go even further by incorporating material separation, enabling activated carbon and resins to be recycled independently.

Which system should I choose?
So which of LAVIE's products should you choose to purify your tap water: Opropre pre-filters? UV-A purifiers? or both?
For microbiological disinfection and improved taste The LAVIE UV-A water purifier is sufficient. It ensures bacteria- and virus-free water, with a reduction in chlorine, pesticides and traces of medication, for water that tastes good and is odourless.
For the elimination of chemical and physical contaminants Filters Opropre Onyx are ideal if you are particularly concerned about the presence of heavy metals and microplastics. The Opropre Turquoise also offers protection against PFAS for users keen to eliminate these "eternal pollutants". The model Opropre Ruby adds protection against nitrates, offering an even more complete solution.
