Our water purifiers work with a patented technology based on UV-a light radiation.
Tap water is exposed to UV-A light, which destroys the chlorine. The by-products of this reaction, called photolysis, are highly oxidising , removing 100% bacteria and a large amount of pesticides and pharmaceutical contaminants.
This reaction, known as chlorine photolysis, provides you with clean water, pleasant to drink.

Does the LAVIE® water purifier work on bacteria?
Yes.
Our purifiers use UV-A technology, which has been proven to be effective against bacteria.
For each cycle, both the bottle and water are cleaned.
Is the UV-A light from LAVIE purifiers dangerous?
No.
The entire device has been validated by SGS for its light safety, because we use UV-A, not B or C. Our safety class means you can stare at the light for three hours without retinal damage. Approvals are noted in the instructions.

How long does a LAVIE® water purifier last?

Does the LAVIE® water purifier prevent limescale build-up?
Yes.
There is no limestone in tap water, only calcium, which is a liquid form and a trace element that is essential for our health. Our treatment preserves it in its liquid form, and rids it of any bad taste. Thanks to LAVIE, calcium is no longer transformed into limestone!
